Nice! Did you send the gun in a case? Or did they replace the one you sent it in?

The gun came from Bud's in a small plastic case with no padding, a holster and a magazine pouch. They (Sig) sent the gun back after servicing it in a new padded case along with the original case.

Sounds like good customer service.

I got email that the 226 is on the way back.

It was received by them last Monday, and was on the way back Friday or Saturday of the same week.

I'll report back when I see the work.

Wow that's fast!! Definitely let us know the quality of their work. I'm sure it's gonna be great. That's awesome!

I received the 226 this morning. That would make it nine days from drop-box to Sig to my front door.

It feels great, looks great (got some new Siglight sights, the old ones faded out after ten to fifteen years), even the K-Kote (Sig polymer coating) looks new.

I'm taking it to the range tonight to try it out. I'll update on it later.

Sorry... never done it... but my 226 has never needed anything other than a new recoil spring every now and then... and I can do that one myself.

Tack

Well, I gotta say, it's a beautiful job; many thanks to the Sig pistol tech that did the work; it's just unbelievably smooth, both double action and single action. It's a bit lighter than before (both DA & SA), but it was easy to get used to.

And smooth ... not enough "o"s in "smooth" to describe it ... this here is a mighty fine pistol, yes indeedy ...

Glad to hear it scottmac! That's awesome. It's good to hear Sig and their techs are on top of their game. I think this is the route I'll be taking myself also. Just not sure when I'll start the process. Thanks for the updates!
