Cheap, but works great
That's what I'm using on me small 24 gun safe. It works good, but on my 48" safe I needed something more. Tired of replacing the batteries on the pucks. The new kit has a A/C adaptor, and 2 -120 ac plugs on the inside.

LEDs do put off some heat, not much, but what little heat they do produce would help keep moisture down, if you had a serous amount of them, say 300 or 400 of them, wrapped around the door frame.

In the inside of the door frame, you would not see the lights directly, unless you got into the safe.

Leave them on all the time. Costs almost nothing to run and in 100,000 hours, some may start to burn out.

So I finally looks at it. You have to keep the inline on and of switch on there and put the rocker switch right after it. Just keep the online button in the on position, and let the rocker switch make or break the current to turn on or off. I see that the plug from the power/battery cord is a different style plug, that's why you have to connect to the on off switch because I has the same style connectors. So it goes power-inline switch- rocker switch- led strips.

In thinking about just putting all together on the floor and testing it out, I'll let you know what I find

How often do you have to change batteries?
