Atwoods Liberty Centurion Safe

I saw an ad for a Liberty Centurion 24 gun safe (20 min fireproofing at 1200 degrees) for $550 at Atwoods the other day, and was wanting to know if this is a good safe.
I tried looking on Liberty's site, but they don't have that exact safe listed, only a 20 gun version that is a lot more expensive. Is there a reason the Atwoods version is cheaper? Would it be a good safe to buy? (most likely next year)

Thanks

Hey tw, I to am researching gun safes. I saw the line of liberty safes at a safe & locksmiths shop in memphis. I saw nothing for that cheap. The one we were looking at is the colonial 30 with a 45 minute fire rating. It cost 1500.00 but seems alot better quality than the redheads & brownings we looked at bass pro. I'm torn, I live in town with good fire dept response. In a cul de sac with good niehbors that look after each other. I could rationalize a cheaper safe very easy and still might. I too would like some input from others about these safes.

I invested in a Liberty safe 6 or 7 years ago, no regrets. If I remember correctly I have the Franklin model.

The cheaper price will reflect the thickness (gauge of steel) of the safe walls,as well as the number of locking bolts that the safe has.
It also changes with the fire rating of the specific safe.

Gun safes are like buying a car,you can get a Kia version or go all the way up to the Rolls Royce version. Each safe mfg might have 5 or more versions of the same size safe,it just depends on the version that your looking at.
