Armed at home?
No. I'm not to be honest. My house is in a neighborhood that just isn't frequented by door kickers and a "bad element".
I have deadbolts, a fenced yard and motion lights. More than that, I have two German Sheppards, all four parents were from the old country so they are pure bred. 180,000+ scent receptors, advanced hearing and the small one, the one who is't barking, is the one who can run as fast as a Ferrari off the line. The big one, the one you will hear barking, is 120 pounds and he can definitely take a full sized man off his feet.
The good news is the big one will probably
one try to control and dominate the bad guy. The little one will probably be there first, or on her second approach, and she will bite for the jugular because her pack instinct is MUCH higher than the average dog.
I do have a loaded pistol upstairs in a Biometric safe next to the bed and another loaded one downstairs. By the time the dogs have finished the ass whooping, it will give me plenty of time to recover said pistol and "control" the scene.
