Thanks for the opinion guys. Dont get me wrong, I had other options as well, like the xdm 3.8 .45 acp and xd .45 compact. I'm looking for conceal and stopping power as well.

2: it is only a 2 round mag capacity difference compared to the Glock 19
3: all the lengths and measurements are the same as the Glock 19, so it feels the same to carry
4: Weight difference is very minimal Glock 23= 31.03oz.(Fully Loaded)... Glock 19=29.98oz.(Fully Loaded) (small weight difference, but large gain in bullet size)

So all in all...you are not losing anything by going with the Glock 23. except 2round mag capacity and about 1oz of overall weight. BUT YOU GAIN A MUCH BETTER ROUND. 40s&w is a much better MAN STOPPER, 185gr compared to the 9mm 115gr.

Hope this helped your decision

I love Glock and I carry one on duty. I have a Glock 23 and it is a great gun, however, as I just posted in another thread, it is a little bulky for concealment purposes (for me). I found myself leaving it home in warmer weather because it just wasn't comfortable or very concealable in a T-shirt. Leaving my gun behind is not something I am comfortable with. I went and picked up a Walther PPS in .40. Same great knock down power and way slimmer. Concealment is no problem in all weather conditions. Just something to think about. Good luck.
