Luke 22:36 (King James Version)

Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Think that about covers it.

I am familiar with Luke 22. Point well taken.

Carrying in church is illegal in Arkansas, but we do have armed off duty policemen at my particular church. I don't carry in church or where illegal, but I would if I could.

If all is predestined, then why arm yourself at all? Seriously, if it is your time to go, armed or not, then why bother spending the money and the time? One of those theological questions asked in every higher learning classes. Meant to be is meant to be, and arming yourself or anyone else is just ignoring your destiny.

I haven't read all the posts. But I will answer the OP. I carry at church, these are strange times. If it came down to it, I'd die protecting my friends and family at church

C.C. of course. Oh yeah, G19 with big dots!!

Skull- some time back, I was doing a safety audit at a LARGE printing operation of a religious organization, when I ran across a major safety hazard in machine guarding. Told the foreman it needed to be fixed at once- severe hazard. He told me I did not understand- his Lord looked out for him. Asked him to consider possibility that the Lord had sent me there to tell him to fix it. He looked at me, nodded, and went to get it fixed.
