Speaking of short barrels, I wonder if some prosecutor (persecutor) would claim that the Judge is a shotgun with an illegally short barrel???

they could try, but the Judge has a rifled barrel, so by law and the BATF, it's a pistol as it can also fire a pistol cartridge. a good defence attorney would tear that argument up in seconds!

Default Where to Keep my Home Protection Pistol.

Not a bad paring then. The 870 were my 1st two Shotguns, a 20Ga. as a "Youth"(emphasis on the "Y" like a Ny'er!) and in my late Teens, a 12 Ga. Combo Barrel(20" slug tube and a 26" Bird Tube),..but Only Semi's Since then...I would like to try the triple Barrel Chiappa some day....
I have not found any "Critical Duty" in 9MM yet, but have at least 1-2 Boxes of just about every other 9MM SD round from running testing this past fall. Have several of the "Critical Defense" in Both 9MM(4+ boxes) for me and in 38/357 for the Mz. and we also have some of the "Lite" in 38(reduced load) for her as well. I rotate different types of SD loads Dep. on which Gun, Some rounds work better in some guns then others as we all know. Also heard the "Big H" is coming out with a 20Ga Triple Defense round, as well as wider dist. of the 12 Ga. version.

Keeping your HD with you, at all times, serves a couple purposes.

1. Where you need it, when you need it.

2. Away from everybody else, and out of mischief.

No doubt. But no 2 legged kids here, and I don't plan on letting anyone in my house I can't trust.

well glad to hear that. pictures can be misleading when there is no way to measure scale of the item in the picture.

you're welcome.

had they put a smoothbore barrel on it, it would have to have a tax stamp for being a SBS or AOW from the BATF. same with those "Mare's Leg" pistols that look like cut down Winchester lever actions. they manufacture them as pistols to begin with so they are legal to be as short as they are.
