I carry pretty much every day now, at least where I can legally... Pretty new to EDC myself... Looked at all sorts of holsters and places to carry. Went from shoulder holster to small of back to appendix to you name it. Didnt like the idea of shoulder carry and sweeping everyone behind me with a horizontal one, also I wear t shirts a lot in the summer. didnt like the idea of appendix carry and sweeping my leg and possibly femoral artery all the time since i prefer to carry with a round chambered now. Eventually I decided that I prefer to carry strong side at 4 o'clock ish (most comfortable for me considering I carry an M&P9c). Just ordered a custom sharkskin holster that is IWB and also OWB when removing the belt loops, that way I can change it up a bit depending on what I'm doing.
Best advice I can give, coming from a newcomer, is if you carry at the waist, get a good gun belt! It helps tremendously, even for IWB

At the very least I carry a Sig P238 in a wallet holster with a fake zipper top

I also carry IWB with the Remora holster when carrying one of my larger Sigs.

I have 2 new holsters on order from Garrett Industries that I am looking forward to getting. They are IWB leather and kydex but the kydex is leather lined to protect the finish on your gun.

I carry SOB daily. I know it's not the popular choice, but like many have said, if it isn't comfortable then you won't want to carry it. I'm a thin guy and can't seem to find a position on my hip that is concealable and not in my way when I move around. I carry an LC9 in a Foxx holster and love the feel. Some may hate it. It's an option to consider.

8,9,10:00 (left handed)2,3,4:00 (right handed) dependent on the pistol. I pocket carry a Sig 239 and S&W 637

Yeah, I'm pretty ambidextrous when it comes to shooting.
