Same here, but with my Sig or HK. I keep an extra mag on my left at 3 o'clock though.

I carry in my purse and take it everywhere. ..but often wonder just how I am going to get to it if I ever need it.

I've never thought purse carry was a good idea, lose your purse=lose your gun... purse snatcher=armed purse snatcher

Well in all the years I've carried a purse I have never lost one. I haven't tried to carry on my body so don't know for sure I wouldn't like it but it seems like it would be odd. Tough to get to though in the purse. Been in several situations where I was thinking how would I get to it...

There's plenty of women in here, hopefully one of them will be able to chime in and give some advice

I have seen my wife dig through her purse for two or three minutes looking for her keys.

You really should at least give it a try as it really is a better alternative. There are a number of manufacturers who mke holsters especially for women these days.

If you are really decided on purse carry there are several companies that make dedicated "holster purses" which carry the gun in a dedicated, easy access pocket. Some of them are designed to allow you to walk with your hand holding the gun so that if your purse is ever taken the gun remains behind in your hand, ready ro shoot.

There are write-ups that argue against purse carrying. When you go out to eat fast-food, formal dining, sitting at a park bench you may take your hands off your purse. The purse may be a target not necessarily for someone knowing there is a gun in it, but for all the other contents - CCards, Money, SS card and the list goes on. The gun would just be an added bonus gift to someone stealing a purse. Just be safe.
