Louisianna is a tricky location there were alot of firearms laws added after Katrina that may or may not still be on the books i suggest contacting an actual prosecuting attorney and ask what the law says and what is the practical truth.and as outlaw said do some serious reading i think the closer yu get to new orleans the more complicated it is likely to be
