I wonder how it would go if we all started asking the places of business to provide a secure shelf for our firearms.

OK, it's a little old, but I didn't want to start a new thread on the subject.

When I sit down in the restroom , I rebutton my pants around my knees. That keeps my gun in its holster, up off the floor, and out of the view/reach of anyone outside the stall.

I'm also looking into using a belly band. (See also: http://www.firearmstalk.com/forums/f14/found-my-perfect-carry-method-77300/) That may make all activities in a restroom more secure.

But at least they'd be in the right place for it!

You will like a belly band holster. I don't use a conventional IWB holster any more. You can slide the belly band up and down your body so you can reach your pistol no matter what you are doing. Belly bands have pouches for spare magazines. Get a six inch holster unless you are carrying a pocket size pistol.
