Back in the day, prior to retirement, my EDC was a 1966 S&W Model 60, but my EDC has been a XD40 SC since my retirement in 2008.

Navy still issues Corpsmen the M9. If I have to carry for work that's what I'm getting. Also have carried a Mossberg 590 and an M16 A2, and M4.

My "workhorses" for my off duty carry are Ruger LCP, Glock 19, Springfield 1911A1. Sometimes I'll carry my own Beretta 92FS or a Sig 220.

I see you are not afraid of heavier full sized guns. Ever tried the CZ' (75/85 series)

I've shot them. I like everything about them except the trigger shape. An odd complaint, and one I could fix. A 75 is on my list of guns to keep an eye out for if a deal came along that I couldn't pass up. My 220 falls in that category. I knew I wanted one, someone I knew made me an offer that was too good to pass up, so I bought it for about 60% of its market value.

A Hi-Power is on the list too, along with a Sig 226 and several others. My bases are pretty well covered, so I'm in no hurry. Patience seems to pay off for me in the long run.
