For a quick trip to the store, it's the Taurus 850 CIA (.357, 2"); carry at 1 o'clock. For more serious situations, it's the M&P 40 in the small of the back.

Nobody ever mentioned why some of you are alternating rounds between two types of ammo. What's the reason for that?

When talking about a .380, I know folks that alternate between JHP & FMJ to get penetration and expansion. I generally have Gold Dots in all my carry guns but I have carried 230 gr FMJ in my 1911s...

That has worked since 1911 no reason to change it.
