That's the model I fell in love w at Gander Mt, it's a toss up between the Para or a XDm .45 tactical. Sad to say I've never owned a 1911 YET!!! so the Para is in the lead wants wise, but the XDm is $400 less¿¡¿¡¿

I have several XD45's and 1911's, but if it was me I would save up for the 1911.

My issue is w a tight budget the 1911 is a want, the XDm will meet all my needs ie...home defense, open carry(one + living in Va) and be a tack driver at the range. But.. every gun guy needs at least one 1911, guess I need that non existing rich uncle to die lol

What 1911 are you looking for? I have 2 1911's. One that cost me $600 and one that cost more than double that. And my Ruger Sr1911 isn't as tight of a fit or as good of a finish but it will shoot just as good as the rest of them.

Rock Island also has a high capacity.45. They are very nice 1911's. I had several of them until I gave them to my 4 boys.

Thx I'll look into them, I was kinda thrown of by the ATI's heard of issues but I've heard and seen enough from Rock Island to trust them!

My Ati has run flawlessly. Probably around 800 rounds

I CC a Smith & Wesson compact .40. Not conspicuous in a Sneaky Pete Holster.
