Crossbreed or galco are safe bets. I carry my m&p45 in a crossbreed. It was $80 or so but holds it tight and distributes the weight very well

I conceal Springfield Armory XD 3.5. But the easiest gun I conceal is my Ruger LCP. It can be put anywhere. Any pocket, bag, even the front pocket of a dress shirt. I usually put it in my front pocket of the pants I am wearing. It looks like a cell phone or billfold. Just don't forget where you put it.

You are 100% correct on purchasing a good holster for your weapon. You are also going to need a good gun belt to go with your new holster and new weapon. Plus you are going to needo spare magazine carriers.

I have several holster for each of my weapons. I love Milt Sparks VM-II.

Either my Ruger LCP or Walther PPS. I use a Galco King Tuk with the Ruger and an Old Faithful for the Walther.

Oh, man. Look. If you don't have $100 for a holster, that's fine. Get a Blackhawk with the thumb break snap on it and you will be ok. I promise. If you can afford better, get better, but it's not absolutely necessary.
