The one you can't see.

I carried a Model 60 S&W Chief's Special for over 30 years then swiched to a S&W Bodyguard 380 both of which never had to be pulled.
I reciently got a like new model 6906 S&W that I love and it will accept the magazines from my 5906 so while on duty the heavy 5906 is in the duty rig and the 6906 is under my arm but all extra mags are the 15 round that either one will accept.
My daughter loves the 6906 so I got her one as well - - - almost 2# lighter than the 5906 and 12+1 instead of 15 +1 but a dream as both are single/double action with about 4# trigger pulls and easy to hold a rapid fire magazine emptying group of about 1 1/2" at 10 yards - - - my daughter said "poor gopher has no eye!"
I hope neither my daughter of myself will ever need to pull them but we train and are prepared if needed!

"I gotta admit--I'm a bit jealous of all you who have choices on "which one to carry today?!?"
This is a bad mind set to get into - - - never let the devil put jealousy into your heart. Yes I have several firearms ( and other tools of the job as well ) but I started out with one used model 10 38 cal S&W when I went on the local Sheriffs Dept and have added to as time goes by.
I have been buying what I feel are “quality” pieces since I came home from the USMC in 1971.
Never put the finances of your family in jeopardy but work a little overtime ( or a second job ) and go to slickguns.com or another site and buy prudently and you will acquire some nice pieces yourself.
I am not trying to put you down, just to say “ patience little one” have a great day!

I appreciate it, gwk. Good advice.
I guess I'm not truly 'jealous', just wish I had more firearms! I'm really happy with my S&W SW40VE AF, and moderately happy with my Ithaca shotgun, so really the only thing I'm 'lacking' is a good rifle.
That being said, I definitely will not be putting my family's finances in jeopardy just to have something I 'want' (at this point I haven't been to the range in 6 months for that reason alone).
Btw, thank you for your service. Semper Fi.
