What if you can't lock yourself in?

I'm lucky. All my rooms are on one side of the house with the hallway being the choke point. All the boys bedrooms doors are toward my end , the end, of the hall. If I had a split floorplan, I could really see where that would make everything harder.

I have hesitated getting ready though. My alarm needs a few repairs and I have yet to lock and load the HD shotgun. What am I waiting for???? Until it's too late??? I hope not! It's threads like these that make me think and realize I need to plan, prepare, practice and stop procrastinating!
