What to get.....

I've started saving up to get a CC firearm and I was leaning towards a revolver. I have been looking at the Smith & Wesson M&P 360 Chiefs Special. It's a bit pricey, but I think the money would be worth it. Does anyone have any experience with this gun?

I think you would be hard pressed to find a better summer carry than the Ruger LCR.

I know it's not a traditional CCW revolver but S&W's night guard series really got my blood pumping for a revolver and you know what guns I normaly favor.........

I carry a S&W model 37 Airweight in an IWB holster around the house. It weighs next to nothing and .38 hollowpoints will get the job done.

I've shot one and liked the feel, the price tag is far more than the pistol is worth IMO. I am a huge S&W fan and still wanting a snub nose wheel gun for carry. I think one of the best out there is the Ruger LCR, the price is reasonable, the pistol is light/easy to carry and it's manufactured by a truly good company. I haven't shot one yet but looking forward to doing so when the local ranges have them available to rent.

If at all possible it's best to find a range that rents the firearm you are interested in and shoot them.

Good luck and let us know what you decide to purchase.

Well Cane, I went to the gun store yesterday to check out some snub nose .38s, and they just happened to have a Ruger LCR in stock. I think I might be sold on it... I'll look at a few more, but that Ruger is nice man. I was blown away by how light it is. Where did you get the belt clip that you have on yours? And is that actually attached to it? Also, what ammo would you recommend for good self defense rounds?

You will love it!

The "Clip Draw" is a non-destructive mount. It uses a mounting plate that attaches with "aircraft" grade VHB double sided tape. Mine has been on for three months now with NO issues here in South Florida! (read: steamy hot!)
