Shooting my sisters sig 1911-22 today with federal bulk ammo and while it cycles well in the sr22, we had about a 1:10 ratio of failure to fire. The rim would be hit slightly but...

It was not cleaned the last range trip, about a week ago, and about 50 rounds thru it. But it's well oiled before shooting.

Is it a product of cheap bulk ammo or a typical issue with the GSG/SIG.

Love my new Single Six from Ruger with a 61/2" BBL & the extra Mag cylinder that comes with it also.

I have not had any problems shooting Federal bulk in my GSG.

I'll count that as reliable.

I like the Walther Target ! It's a notch above BadAzz, it's UberBad

Smith & Wesson M&P 22 , looks combat ready ( bad arse) same size as M&P 9 and 40 And shoots reliably. Only the thing I don't like is the fact it is made in Germany, A joint venture with Walther. It is pretty accurate however not as true as my Browning Buckmark Plus.

I would suggest one of the 2, Sig mosquito, or a Glock with a 22 conversion.

I would stay away from the Sig Mosquito. Yes, Sig makes some great guns, but the Mosquito is NOT one of them. It is unreliable at best. From my own personal experience, it would not cycle an entire mag without at least two FTFeeds or FTEs. In addition, it is VERY picky with ammo.

If it were me, i would go with a Ruger 22/45.

Slight tangent here, but sounds like the folks on this thread will know the Answer. I just found some cool old Ruger Mark 1 custom grips in a drawer (I'm an old guy!). Anyway, I was thinking of buying a Mark III, have they changed anything in the grip, or will the old grips work on the new Mark III?

The mark III has a mag release on the side that the mark I doesn't, but besides that I can't tell any other differences.
