My Idaho ccw, since im military they waive the class if you have been trained on firearms. Did the paperwork and had it in 4 weeks. TX, i had to take the class, then it takes about 5-6 weeks. God bless the "red states" !!

Not really sure, after I was approved I just had to wait for the paperwork to come in. I got the approval notice shortly after I took the course in April. After that I took it to the court house and they mailed it to Frankfort. They must have taken their sweet time because I didn't get it til September.

I was seriously hoping to get it before I went on vacation in late August, didn't happen.

I am also from PROM (people's republic of Mass) . I submitted all my paperwork and fingerprints last January 18th and I am still waiting. The law here states that I should be notified of a denial within 40 days of submitting the application to the local police chief, it just does not specify if work days (assumed) or calendar days.
I have no concerns with getting approved it just bothers me that my city is so slow. I joined a shooting club and some of my fellow rookies there got their permits in less than 4 weeks.
It will be 40 working days since I submitted my paperwork tomorrow or Friday counting holidays. We'll see. I just have to keep waiting LOL

Yeah it looks like I'm stuck here for at least 3-5 more years. I have a pilot job in ny and can't walk away from it..

I can't wait to be flying for southwest living in NC or Texas!!!

I want to take a program with the Feds that will allow me to carry conceled on my flights too..

For now... I can only dream lol

I receive a notice in the mail that my permit is due. I mail in a check
and my permit is mailed to me. Every 5 years I must appear in person
to have my picture updated. Takes about 15-20 minutes.

here in california it took mine six weeks from the day i got interviewd by the captain or lieutanant of the sheriffs dept.but on the other hand a friend of mine got his in just over a week.

With NYC's restrictive hand gun laws, how does an authorized armed pilot deal with NYC?
