they are both small 1911s. colt hands down, much better quality gun. if you want to be sure its gonna feed get the colt. my new agent, which is the same as a defender funtcionally just sights and grip is different feeds empty cases. havent found any 45acp round that doesnt function flawless.
that being said im liking the xdm45 better. a 3.8 xdm45 for ccw is on my next to buy list!!
