Found this interest post on calguns forum from 2011 about Unloaded Locked Concealed Carry in California.

Is this ok for carrying everywhere including work or just in a bag out and about

Those people who make the laws in California are not on the same level as those in Florida.

I would suggest that you look up the actual state statute about that. If the statute is still confusing, then get with someone who practices law professionally.

We "internet lawyers" may not be able to represent you in court if we accidently provide wrong advice.

Its legal but it dosent make sense on the part of keeping it in your back pack. Its just in the car and most people in ca have a trunk gun

read up on the laws of your state. we are not lawyers and are not able to dispense legal advice. i worry about the gun laws in my state and even as less restricted as they are, it's enough for me to keep up with them.
