Our instructor, said be prepared for the bad guy to shout at the police, you are the bad guy, and scream for help, to save them from you.

hmmm.... so they will be still shooting when the lights and sirens are upon them? hypotheticly speaking of course.

so if someone has called 911 and said there is shooting going on or has happened, do you think the cops are going to just roll in silent and stealthy?

we can propose hypothtical situations all night if you wish, but IMO, they are a really bad idea. if you want one then get one if it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I did not fall off the turnip truck yesterday. I have been around a long time. I was a FFL dealer many years. Retired. I have friends that are cops, one a retired police chief from a third largest town in my state. I was a concealed weapon permit holder, before state laws went near the subject. My first one was issued by a sheriff of the county I lived in. That was 30 plus years ago.

My goal in life is to get from A to C without B ever remembering I was anywhere around. The odds of me ever showing anyone I have a CCW badge is about as remote as me ever needing the second mag of 10mm I carry.

Look it doesn't take much to order a CCW badge. It's not like it truly identifies one as a good guy with a CCW. Meaning a BG can simply have one as well. So to that, is there a REAL beneficial purpose to it? I don't know.

IMO I think it's pointless but to each their own.

If a few harsh rules and hard words gets you up set how do you expect to handle a post shooting condition?

I'm new to hand guns been around long guns most my life. So I was just trying to get some info on a item I thought might make a person safer. Wasn't looking for a warm and fuzzy feeling just some good debate of pros or cons. I won't be rude or name call I was raised better than that plus the marine corp teaches disapplin.
