Thoughts About Neck Lanyard
What do you all think about the neck lanyard idea? Do you think it is safe enough or do you think it is too much hassle?

Very bad idea, in close quarters it can be used to strangle you, better to have the lanyard attached to the belt

Out of curiosity, what is the intent behind carrying a lanyard? I would be cautious about leaving the house with anything already wrapped around my neck. Seems like an oppertune thing to be used against you for choking.

Well, it's for when your galloping across the plain on your horse, you don't drop your pistol in a pile of buffalo poop.

Well then, since the buffs are all but gone, I guess it should be put in the cupboard with my buggy whip.

You never know when a good buggy whip will come in handy.

Isn't that what a holster is for?

Great idea only if it is a "Break-away" type neck lanyard and the only thing you have on it is a whistle, keys, a small knife or an ID badge. Guns...no way.

I tried to wear my house key around my neck when I was about 12. For about 3 days. Since then I have never worn anything around my neck, I don't like the feeling or the potential for its use against me.
YMMV
