Default For those would be anti gunners

Read an interesting story on how a guy presented his thoughts on protection and the use of guns. He was talking to someone that said only law enforcement and the military should be allowed to have guns. So he made up a situation for this person as follows:

You are in a large room having a get together with family and friends, lots of people you know and care for. In this room is a table in front of you that contains the following items, a lamp, a bible, a phone and a gun. I hand you a slip of paper that says "in 5 seconds a man armed with a knife and a gun is going to come through that door yelling he is going to kill everyone". Now, which of the 4 items are you going to pick up?

I would grab the lamp.

I want to make sure that the rest of my kin folks who pull their guns out can see that I am not the target.

Good one. Reminds me of that "Lock your wife & dog in the trunk of your car for an hour. Which one will be happy to see you when you open the trunk?"

I always have fun with people who say, "I NEVER allow guns in my house."

"So....when you need help, the first thing you do is call police - who will bring guns into your house?"

I usually ask if they have ever been the victim of a violent crime. If the answer is yes, I ask how it felt to be helpless and have your life in a criminals hands.

Pointless. Most of them are going to ignore what you're saying, and instead argue about how the gun got there, or why if it was THIER house, the gun NEVER would have been there in the 1st place, or something similar.

I pull out my X52 Ultra Magnum Evaporator, conveniently hidden in my wedding ring, and quickly do away with the bad guys. Then I'd finish my dinner.

And that is the point where I respectfully thank them for their time, and inform them that, out of respect for their beliefs, I promise I will never use any of my guns to protect them. Call the local Domino's and order a pizza after you call the police, and see which one get's there first.

IOW, dyed in the wool antis ain't worth wasting my time on.
