I keep an 8 round flush in the gun,a standard 8 round in the pocket.
2 trip 8 rounders in the console of the truck and a 10 round tripp mag on the nightstand along with the spare 8 rounder I carry daily when I am at home.
Single stack 1911 mags are too easy not to drop in a back pocket.
When I carry the ruger sp101,I usually don't carry a reload. But there is a speed loader that stays in the truck along with two more reloads worth of .357. If I want more gun then I just carry the Dan Wesson.

I'm with Hossfly,
I do not plan in getting into an all out gun fight while carrying concealed. To me the key here is stealth, right time of engagement, and deliberate action without prior detection along with well placed shots. At least two to the body and one to the head if applicable! Otherwise if some one confronts me where a deadly force encounter is threatened, I will be fending them off and shooting if in close. If it would be for example a direct threat in a restaurant to myself or to others. I would wait for the subject to be distracted or look the other way and pop them several times. I do not have to give voice commands anymore as in the past! Otherwise, I will not play the game with these dirt bags! Although, I do carry extra mags in my truck. 2ea. 380 cal. mags, 2ea. 40 cal. mags and 2 ea 45 Cal. Mags and 1 30rd. AR-15 Mag. So no matter what weapon I have available I have back up ammunition. But regarding the above situations, it is important for the CCW carrier to if nothing else, research scenarios and their reactions to the situation in their head frequently. Obviously working on marksmanship is critical and gun handling skills. But one must prepare mentally and train should a situation ever occur. As the old saying goes if and when it should happen! "YOU WILL DO AS YOU HAVE TRAINED!"
If you do not you are courting disaster and will be of little help to anyone and possibly be the victim!
But back to the point one should have the availability of extra ammunition when away from home.

Lmao sure it did! 3 rounds per person!
Total expected opposition times three rounds per equals total number of rounds/mags
Kidding! That was his response to this picture,

It depends on what I am carrying and where. If I am at work I can not carry on the property. But I have a Kahr CM9 that I pocket carry away from the property. No extra for pocket carry. Just too hard to conceal with a tucked in shirt. When I carry mt P-95 it is 15+1. That is enough for me. But when I go to church that is different. At church I carry my 1911 with 8+1 and an extra mag. I feel like if someone started shooting at church it would be easy to get trapped in a crowd. I feel like I could be forced to shoot at longer distances too. That is why the 1911. Less capacity. But way more acurate. I dont really go to the movies anymore. Not afraid. It is just a rediculous amount of money anymore.

So I assume, if you are able to: do it. Better have a hidden mag and never touch it, than be in need of one to protect your family and innocent bystanders- as we hope we will never have to.

Exactly. Although statistically speaking you'll probably not need it even in a bad situation.
