Thank you everybody for your replies. Y'all have given me a lot to look up. I think what I am going to do is start poking around my favorite gun shop a little more and trying some out.

I carry a Glock 23 in San Antonio year round, just my gun of choice. I use a milt spark BN55 In the winter and a milt spark summer special in the summer. I just use over size shirts with prints to conceal in the summer. It is not that hard to do. Others have already alluded to smaller weapons which will help as the Glock is thick. I do not own one not the Ruger SR 9 has a thin profile on 9mm and from what I hear a very reliable handgun at a great price. A great holster will go a long way in making the gun comfortable and easy to conceal. IWB is your best bet on med. to larger frame autos in the Summer.

It's not so much about the gun, as it is the holster.

My buddy and I are both 6' tall but vary in weight (180 vs 245).

We live in t-shirts and cargo shorts in the Las Vegas summer heat.

We both wear the IWB crossbreed supertuck holsters, and carry the S&W M&P compacts
He in 9mm me in .40

The M&P Shield is even thinner.

I have been wearing this setup for 4 years.
There is NO ISSUE with printing on either of us.
You just need a size bigger on your shorts.

Good luck, and let us know what you decide.

Those Crossbreed Supertucks get lots of good reviews...

I have carried a Seecamp 32 in my pocket (front or back) for nearly 20 years. The size has made it comfortable and concealable in any situation. But the small caliber has been a concern. When wardrobe permitted the Seecamp was a backup to my P229. But, living in the south and dressing business casual, that has become rare. Last week I purchased a Sig Sauer P938, which is 9mm. Much larger than the Seecamp, but still comfortable in the front pocket of jeans or dress pants. 7 rounds of Hornady Critical Duty. The single stack is thin, which should make it comfortable IWB. I have ordered a IWB holster. I shot 200 rounds this weekend and carried the Sig in place of my Seecamp. No buyer's remorse, this is an nice combination or size and caliber.

Sometimes class is overrated...with all the serious stuff going knees just need to cut loose and chuckle every now and then.
