Yes it has the ambidextrous release on both sides of the trigger guard. I didn't like it at first, but within a few range trips I love it now. I can drop mag with my middle finger while keeping a good grip and control of the pistol.

Insert eye roll here.
I realize that it's extremely rare, but why not take a simple step to guard against it by wearing a retention holster?

Not quite the same as being snatched out f your holster though.

Yeah, sorry. There's not enough evidence for me to consider it a hazard.

Look at this: WAY more instances out there of people's guns being taken from homes and vehicles.

A gun not carried, is way more likely to be stolen than a gun that IS carried, regardless of the method of carry.

(Open)carry on.

Just my thoughts, and opinion. I don't use a retention holster because my right hand does one thing, grab, and draw the gun. Adding an index (trigger) finger manipulation into the draw is not for me.

If it works for you, awesome, I am not that talented. I like KISS.

I got a cheapo slide holster I picked up at tool town. Love it.

By the way, ever notice how the air tastes sweet in TP's range? That's why I don't go there. I haven't had a problem with range Nazis myself at the sheriff's range, but draw and fire is against the rules there. I run dry drills in my living room, and I mostly hit their range to shoot plates.

I even do what I consider "rapid" fire, which is firing as soon as I acquire sight picture on target, no problem. If I wanna bang away and do a mag dump, I'll step out in the woods.

I COULD shoot in my backyard, I've got the terrain for it. But there's houses back behind my place, and I'd rather just not take the chance.

I only shoot at TP when my group is in the bay. Too many holes in the ceiling and side walls for me to be there when it is full.

Would like to try the parish range again, as long as I don't have to leave my guns outside on a shelf while they vet my credentials in another room.

no guns in the range house. I leave mine in the car, walk in, sign in, leave my ten bucks with the gent inside, and go back to my car.

TP isn't that much different. You have to keep your gun cased when not in the bay. I find that even more annoying for some reason.
