I was thinking peanut butter or oranges. I'll look for muscles at the store.

.22 CB shorts are pretty quiet. Probably wouldn't distrub the neighbors. Take out the window screen and shoot from inside your house. The house deadens the remainder of any sound. Make SURE you open the window first!!
When I was younger I had a job from 7 pm to 2 am and was getting to sleep at 3 am. Well every morning this pair of bluejays was screeching in the tree outside my window at dawn. After about a week I went a bit nuts from sleep depravation, grabbed the 22 with shorts and nailed them both. But like I say I was young, I wont take the chance of getting into **** with the PD these days.

I saved that photo to my harddrive at work. I'll attach here in the morning.

Hell, what do expect, they do have BG masks on, they come around at night, break into closed entry's and when they are finished stealing or eating stuff, they take a big dump on your porch. Typical BG behavior.

We have our share of coons here as well and I trap them in a have-a-heart trap and off to the country they go. They like to live in the storm sewers and come out at night to find food. Got 18 one year and fifteen another but usualy about a half dozen per year.
I use 22 CB Long ammo for the rabbits. Good hunting, Dogwalk

I was woke up by animals fighting outside my bedroom window at 4 am last year. One of my boxers jumped the fence to get at an armadillo. It was curled into a ball when I got there. I tried to send it away by beating it with a stick. It ran into my bushes and started digging to China. I got my Ruger 9mm and shot him point blank. Here he is the next morning, after I got out of bed.

I live outside the city limits, so it was legal. Nobody heard the shot anyway. I heard that some armadillo carry leprosy, so I didn't want to touch him. He weighed about 10 lbs.

Joe, How about trapping it and then spearing it.

There is a very satisfying thump when I connect.
I thought everyone got away with shooting in L.A.!! Thats a bummer

You had me going there. Great story. I guess the ending was better than what I had originally anticipated.
