I would like to take a poll. Who would and who would not.

The poll is In Oregon law states you can carry with your concealed handgun permit in any public building. Lets apply this to every state for this poll. If you want to go into a business that is a public building that has signs that say no weapons allowed. But you know you are at legal right would you still enter? Let apply the concealed aspect to this you are concealing your weapon.

I don't carry cuz I live in NY.. I actually can't even hold a handgun in a gun shop without a CCL.. However if I was to live in a state like yours and those signs had no legal value.( some states they do and can call the cops) I would carry everywhere besides federal buildings..

Look at it this was if your in Walmart and an employee sees your gun by accident all they can tell you is to leave...

Im Michigan they have the right to post a sign that says no weapons allowed and thats all thats needed. I carry everyday and ive seen a few places that have signs posted for no weapons, I just leave and go to a different store. Its not worth it to me to shop at a place that wont accept me with a firearm.

No, I would not enter. I would respect the property owners right to run his business the way he wants to, and I would patronize another store.

Now let me ask you a question. If an armed stranger came to the door of your house or apartment, would you let them in, or would you exercise your rights and refuse them entry? Some people would say there is a difference, but there really isn't. It's all about property rights, not guns.

Seriously, you might want to reread your local laws. It seems inconceivable that the state would make a law that essentially removes the rights of the property owner in favor of the gun owner. I would bet that somewhere in there there is something forbidding carry in premises that are posted as no gun zones.

Only thing here is WM has no policy against OC or CC so that associate would have no basis in requiring you to leave.

In Fl those signs have no leagle authority.As to the fact that I agree if a store owner has a gun fobia and posts a sign such as the one we are discussing I just simply take my money elsewhere.However a point was made in another thread that I also believe that when you open you're business up to the public you have inherently given up some of the things that private property ownership provides.Now as to the Walmart thing,working for Sam's club we have the exact same rules.They are not allowed,here in Florida,to escort you out because it's been found out that you have a gun.However they do have to tell you to conceal you're weapon better or pleas take it to you're vehicle.1) If you have been noticed carrying anywhere(ie...gun bulging and printing )you are not in line with the idea of conceal carry.2)In most states that's considered brandishing.3)Depending on the state and the Leo you can be arrested for brandishing.Just something to think about.

What is the point of getting a CC permit, and then not being able to go into here, there, and everywhere that posts a sign? Concealed is concealed. They shouldn't know, no matter the case. I'd go in. Here in NH BTW, I have never seen a sign posted anywhere about not bringing a gun inside. I do know Walmart can be a little touchy......Doesn't stop me, though.....

Re-read the law. As in "public building". Does that mean a building OPEN to the public, or a building OWNED by the public. MacDonalds- or the library?
