I read this when I first got here and again just now after completing my CCW course. I was fortunate to have a great instructor who conveyed the exact same thing you posted Cane. It is very concise yet comprehensive.

I would apologize for bringing up a old thread, but I do not believe that this information old or irrelevant.

Just like everyone else said, I know this is an old post but I'm new here and very glad I stumbled upon it. I have printed this out, read it and read it again. This is an excellent write-up and should be every CCW holders bible especially for young guys like myself.

Just found the forum. This was the first post I read. Being from Illinois and not having any type of carry, it's still good info to know even for a home defense point of view. Any other things to consider, if a bg gets in or is coming in the house ? Excellent post ............
