My wife enjoys shooting and has taken her CCW class and is awaiting her permit. She is very anxious to get it and loves going to the range. We go just about every weekend and she even goes on her own if I am out of town now. Her going on her own even though it has only been maybe twice was surprising to me, but also shows me now that she is confident with her skills and safe handling procedures.

Her pistol of choice is an M&P .40

Fortunately my wife insisted I get her one before I got one so I have never had that problem, we got her a ruger sr9c and I taught her how to use it. Lets just say you don't want her shooting at you. Her motivation was an abusive ex, and her two year old son. I strongly believe that it is the duty of every responsible citizen to carry a firearm.

I said to my wife "trust my judgment about this", and she does. All one has to do is watch the news on a daily basis and it is clear that it is better for the "good guys" to carry rather than not - because the bad guys certainly are!

My wife is OK with my decision to begin carrying, and may someday wish to carry herself (I hope!).

I am getting her used to it by carrying empty (at home) while I wait for my CPL.

My wife really wasn't too comfortable with the idea when I first started carrying. I just kept quiet about it. Over time she got used to it and is now thankful for it. She took her CC class last month.

My wife takes her cp class Saturday. She has shot all my guns and decided she wanted her own. She thought she wanted a small. 380 or 9mm like a Kahr or Ruger. We went shopping last Saturday and she liked a Glock 26 the best, a little bigger, but she preferred it. Our first Glock.

If you want to further the dangerous and delusional politically correct Hollywood feminist fantasy of females using Eastern martial arts to take on and vanquish several muscular male attackers twice their size - be my guest...

I'd rather give people responsible advice...
