The person might be carrying a glock and we all know those go off all by themselves
if a LEO asks to hand over your firearm, I would just put my hands up and let them grab it on their own.

Unfortunately this guy is clearly in a car with a prostitute, between that and having a firearm he is very likely going to do jail time.
I'm not familiar with the laws there as I'm from MA, but in this state you do not disclose you have a weapon unless you are asked.
There is a licensing officer. They should know if you have a license to carry. If you have done nothing wrong there is no need for disclosure. But the way things are written here everything is up to the discretion of the officer, meaning you could be arrested for having a black powder revolver on you even though it isn't a gun.

I respect anyone who is willing to go out and risk their life to better the community or country but with that comes the responsibility to be worthy of that respect. This officer is not and it's a damn shame.
In Texas we are supposed to tell a LEO we are licensed and carrying or not carrying at the present time. However I dnt think its an actual law. Anyone else i.e security guards, store managers and so on, we dnt have to show anything.

Folks- as already said- the FORMER officer was a dipstick, abusive, and was fired for his conduct.

Let it go already.

Forums are for discussions. If some people still want to discuss it, they can.

Dude- You must be real new to forums
When a Moderator makes a statement like you just pissed on they are saying politely "I'm about to shut it down"

I didn't know 2nd amendment supporters were so anti 1st amendment. Weird that someone would "shut down" a discussion just because it's been talked about before.

It's not that we don't support the 1st amendment. It's that threads tend to run a course and when allowed to carry on too long they tend to degrade to useless pettiness.
Don't take it personally. If it were personal the mod would let you know.
It's not a good idea to push things with the mods. They walk softly and carry a big ban hammer.

I apologize for talking about something people have already talked about.
