As far as I know you can carry in all of Nevada with a valid permit. Just having relocated for the next 6 months I still need to go to metro and register my gun before I can carry it. I did call metro before I moved to ask about any restrictions and having a Michigan CPL they did not tell me of any other than your no school, casino, etc carrying.

I live in Vegas and have CCW. With a valid CCW you can carry concealed, no sweat. The trick is carrying open. In Clark County you can carry open, but North Las Vegas preempts that and declares open carry illegal.

With a CFP you are able to carry conceal anywhere in Nevada except North Las Vegas they have their own rules and regulations. I just drive the speed limit, come to a complete stop at every stop sight and just do everything possible not to get pulled over and i'll be fine.

And hope and pray you don't actually have to use the weapon. Also, Boulder City, Nv. has the same law against ccw. I believe there is a basic legal problem with preempting a state law by a municipality, but I wouldn't want to be the test case. Be careful, Wyatt

I went through the CCW course about 2 years ago. I was taught that with a CCW permit, you could carry concealed anywhere in Nevada. The only exceptions were the normally expressed ones, government buildings, airport, schools, etc. I was also taught that you could carry openly anywhere in Clark County except North Las Vegas, Boulder City, and Henderson. But that is for open carry. I don't know where the idea of not being able to carry in these areas with a valid permit is coming from. It goes against all I've been taught. Does any one have references to written law or validated examples of anyone being arrested? Not looking for an argument, but if CCW is really being preempted, then I want to know.

Went to metro and asked an officer about ccw in N. Vegas. He said that there is NO law saying that you CAN NOT cc a weapon in N. Vegas with a valid permit. and to let them know if ever pulled over that you are concealing a weapon and you have a permit for it. (then he turns around and asked to see my permit.... Then laughs)
