Default The New York Reload

Phrase coined by Massad Ayoob.
Sounds reasonable.

I used this philosophy when I was on duty, BUG!
But even today when I travel by MV I carry two J-frames at a time, more to able to access one in a cross draw in the vehicle and one from a strong side if out of the vehicle. This is comfortable while driving and not a problem for the short time I am out of the vehicle in route.

A BUG is a great idea, in some cases it may be much easier to reach than the primary gun or be able to be drawn without being noticed. Any advantage is a huge plus in my eyes.

I can understand people who carry a second gun on their ankle. An ankle holster seems useless until someone is on top of you trying to cave your face in.
