Default new to the forum and i have questions

Hello all. As the title says im new to this forum but not new to firearms. I have a concealed carry question that im sure everyone has their own opinion on. I own a Ruger p345 in .45 auto. I live in Massachusetts and have a class A large capacity ccw license. Massachusetts defines large capacity as a magazine or feeding device with no more than 10 rounds. The Ruger is just too large to conceal. Its ok for car carry but not personal. Im looking at the s&w m&p shield, compact, or full size in 9mm. Im 6'1 and I have larger hands. Can anyone comment on those particular guns or give some other options with holsters. Thanks everyone.

I can't offer up any opinion on those choices but someone will be along shortly who can. Just wanted to say hey and welcome to the forum...

If your focused on shield sized pistols meaning compact and 20oz an a 9mm is some cases look at the Bersa BP or pro thunder uc 9mm , kahr cw9 40 and 45, kt p-11, ruger and the glock 18,23,32and 38. with 10 shoot or under mags. I figure the 26 and 27 or to short.

Just lay for paws on everthing you can. Guess you'll know when you find it. Try to rent one. many ranges will let you shoot different pistols with an ammo purchase. Any pistol if it functions well can be learned well, even something as odd as glock feel to many . HA

Thank you for the welcome and the suggestions. Massachusetts has some pretty strict firearms laws and therefore some manufacturers dont bother having their weapons pass Massachusetts registering processes. I think Kahr is one of those companies. I would like to stay with s&w for the simple fact that is a USA product. Im not dead set on the compact or sub-compact size however, I am set on the 9mm. I want something that my wife could also handle (although shes a sniper with my p345) and that doesn't cost as much as a .45 acp to practice with.

Ruger SR9 might fit the bill.
Very slim for a double stack.

I have no problem recommending an Ed Brown Kobra Carry.

(There is something to be said about the .45 ACP and its track record.)
