Need help on a backup

I am currently looking for a backup firearm to use in an ankle holster. I would like not to spend over $400 and need it to be good for SD. I have been looking at Kel-Tec small frame pistols. Any opinions or suggestions? I am very open on this.

Weight would be key for me. Nothing over 10oz. That would leave very little!

Ruger LCP
Diamondback DB380
Beretta Jetfire 950 (25acp)
KelTec P32
KelTec P3AT
Taurus TCP

You may be okay with larger, so maybe some 38 snub... Ruger LCR

Kahr P380 has great dimensions, slightly heavier but good backup size.

This is the best reference for small guns.

Ruger LCP .380 is my backup! A great companion of infinitesimal size! :D

I carry a Kahr P-380 in warm weather and or back up! And a Glock Model 27 other times.
I normally carry it in a DeSantis Ankle Holster and hardly even know it is there!

a j frame revolver would be very good in this role.

I have a 637 smith that is light enough to almost forget it's there. I use it more for pocket carry though. I have a friend that uses one in an ankle rig and seems really happy as well.
