Congratulations for the safety insurance. May it never be anything but an accessory to your attire for the day.

When I first got my permit the gun was like my cell phone. I would sometimes forget it. Now I still sometimes foget the cell phone, but never the handgun. Including at night walking the dog.

Congratulation

Please take Winds advice on page 1 and read the link she posted. It's probably
the most useful piece of information I've come across in my 17
years of daily CCW.

Good Luck and Be Safe.

Tack

Congrats on the permit, but don't get over excited. I know it's a newness thing out of the gate, but carrying a firearm daily is a responsibility that requires a degree of calmness and level headed decision making. I know how you feel, I remember when I got my first one. One of my neighbors, that i've known for like 5 years just this Saturday realized that I always carry, as he was sitting in my garage talking to me while I was making a set of grips and when I bent over to pick up a piece of sandpaper I dropped my shirt pulled up just enough to see the bottom of my holster. He said I didn't realize you carry........I said that's because no one needs to know, but since you do now I'll tell you that you've never been around me when I wasn't carrying. I have ritualized my mornings into my EDC going on my belt as commonly as I put my keys in pocket. Be safe!

[U. I just received my permit as well!! I find myself to be more polite, patient, and mellow toward the public as a whole!! It really changes your life to a certain degree with the tremendous responsibility that comes with carrying! Anyone else find this to be true??

I don't want to be the wet blanket here,(do) but I was

full of expectations and excitement while I was

awaiting my permit.

Once I got it, I was somewhat taken aback by the

responsibility, worry about ND/AD, and finding a

comfortable, secure carry holster which doesn't

print. I'm still looking for that holster, and I wish

my printer worked as well as the ones I've tried, so far.

The prior two posts got me thinking about the etiquette and

forbearance I've shown recently to arthropods, who were

unworthy of due flatulence in their general direction...
