Default My CCW Permit Was Approved Today

I met with the Chief this morning and he approved my CCW and signed it off. I pick it up on Wednesday afternoon.

After I pick up the G36, I'll get it put on the permit and it will become my EDC. Until then, this is what I'll be carrying:

That's great news! Congrats. Nothing wrong carrying the 1911 till the 36 comes in.

Congrats to you.

For you amazed people The L.E. Agencies have realized that they can't always be there when they are needed due to cutbacks & such so some are relaxing their stance on CCW. This does not apply to the Bay area though.

I'm in Amador County. However, I didn't go through the County Sheriff's office. Because I live within the city limits, my permit had to go through the Chief of the city PD.

This is a very small town, population: 2300 people. But it's officially a city. So I had to do it this way.

Actually there are a fair amount of permit holders out this way. Other than the vineyards and tourist type businesses, it's ranch and gold mine country.

Congratulations CA!

Wait, is it Barney-style in Cali, or do they let you load it for carry?

For a moment there i stared at the screen with my mouth open. I was thinking a G36 for everyday carry?! Oh of course... a Glock not H&KG36. that was a dull moment for me.
