+1 agree. Alcohol & guns would be a disaster waiting to happen.

In my State of Iowa, there are restrictions regarding any controled substance and your CCW. You can carry into a bar or most any other place but your permit is void if your system is not clean. I always carry. Being unprepaired can come back to haunt you. DOGWALK

I'm getting old and have not gone to a bar in 15 years. The mix of alcohol and idiots is not a comfortable atmosphere and to add weapons , well , just seems to risky to me . I'm a father , a husband , and conduct myself as such.

It's the old ( OODA ) with me , I'm gonna keep the risk factor down , too much to lose !

Not to long ago in WA a guy was having some drinks at home and asked his young daughter to go get his 45 so he could clean it. When she handed the pistol to her Dad it went off and killed the little girl. The guy was experienced with firarms and simply was in no condition to be handling firearms. Something he will have to live with and I doubt the jail term he got will make him feel any better about the poor choice he made. I'll try and find the article and share it.

Alchohol and gunpowder DO mix.... but it tastes like $#IT!

I don't mind carrying if I have a beer or two. Anymore than that, and the gun gets put away with my keys.

I do not carry when I go out to have a few drinks. If we decide to go out spur of the moment I unload my gun and put the bullets in my purse. It's always a bad idea to mix drinks with firearms.

Hey, Gork. I sure hope you intended to mean that 40 was good, and darn him for being a jerk AND better than you. If I ever actually shoot 40 in 9, I'd take that 12-gauge out of my bag and shoot in the air vaquero-style!

The legal trouble than a person can get themselves into from carrying concealed and drinking, deffinately makes it not worth it.
