Great info. Thanks. It seems that the XDs is at the top followed by the lc9. Both have issues that I need to get through. The lc9 trigger and the XDs weight. I can't see spending money on a trigger, but at least that is fixable. There is nothing I can do about the weight of the XDs.

I want to rent however my local range rental does not have these guns. Even if they did, they charge $50 a box of ammo and $25 a gun in rental. That's a rip off.

The weight of the xds to me is a non factor. I OC a glock 23 a lot and when I have my xds. I don't even know its there.

Oh good lawd. That's awful. My range charges about $20 for a box of 9mm, and $7 for a gun rental. Any gun rental.

I see you're in Kalifornia. Remind me to never go to your area.

I have the XDS .45 , LC9 , XD9 subcompact and a Diamondback DB9
By a long shot the XDS is my favorite followed by the diamondback DB9 for CCW , Im not a big fan of the LC9 but I just cant get rid of it . The XD9 SC has the best trigger of all of them and is very accurate but Its just not my favorite its a bit thicker due to the double stack mag .
and yes the LC9 is snappier than the XDS

I have a XD40 sub and it is way too wide. I just found out my LGS has all of these in stock plus the G36 and the LCP, so it looks like I'll be making a trip.

vs. Kahr CM9

The long smooth trigger is unlike any other. Many people, once they handle, shoot, and carry a Kahr never go back.

I have a P380 for true pocket carrying and my CM9 virtually disappears at the waist.

Glock 21 and wanting to go smaller, would seem the G30 would be a natural choice.

Another sub compact you might look at is the Beretta PX4 Storm. Does not come in 45acp.

You can buy a Kahr CM9 for less than $400.

I looked at the nano and the LC9. Both are just too small for my hands. Had to make a trade off and went with the SR9 and OWB holster. Not a bad set up but bigger then you are looking at.
