Can you fire from the hip and hit your target every time without one?

Haven't really played with much hip fire but I shot a kimber with a laser grip I rented at a range and it was never on target at all almost a 12" right of where I was aiming

Lasers point TWO ways. They also don't help much in bright light or direct sunlight.

I vote no, and I had a set of Crimson Trace on my carry pistol for years. Having been exposed to their glaring downside by someone much more knowledgable than I, chose to take them off my Sig and put them in the safe.

My 1911's have good, healthy grips and night sights.

I'm not a terribly big fan of them. But what you encountered was not the fault of the product. Rather it was the fault whoever failed to set them up correctly.

I'd suggest dillingers if he is willing to sell. If not, crimson trace, prefferably a green laser.

I designed my own and had a grip guy do the CNC machining on them. I like them because they withstand the baby oil test, they are G-10, and they say "Molon Labe" on them in Greek.

My laser grips were for a Sig P228, not for the 1911.
