Welcome to the forum! There are a lot of good folks here and wealth of info.
Which county do you live in?
My son lives in El Paso county and I think it took longer than that.
By the way, according to the Construction you were 'approved' at birth to carry a gun!

That is quick for an urban county. I am glad to see you excepting the responsibility to defend yourselves and others!

Default CC

Takes a full three mo. in Oklahoma. My first license was for three yrs.
and the cost was $85 for the license and $50 for the class.

When I renewed, if I remember correctly, it was about $75 for 10 yrs.
That was a few yrs. ago. It still took 3 mo. the second time.

They are pretty strict. They did a full OBI and FBI background check
with passport photos both times and fingerprints the first time.

Congratulations on getting your cwp!!

Just remember, it comes with a %hit load of responsibilities.

If you carry everyday, it will change your life.

Texas DPS (Dept of Regulatory Services) now has a recording on their CHL line saying they have so many applications it is taking 30 days to even get to the new applications. Then they ask you to call back when it's been 30 days from your initial submission date. Hahaha!! I would be fired before the day was out, if I put that on my voice mail!! Lol.

I called to check the status of mine on the 29th day. I was told they were getting ready to mail it out.
I drove to pick it up instead of waiting for the mail to deliver it.
It turned out that it was approved 2 weeks before i went to get it.
It was pretty frustrating because i anxiously waited for the maillady to arrive everyday, and here it was just sitting on a desk at the sherrif's office.
