Default How long did it take you in Wake County, NC?

Just curious for those who have applied for their CCW recently in Wake County, NC. They told me it would take 45-90 days.
That seems like a long time. Did it take that long for you?
How long for you?
Thanks?

Not sure what the typical timeframe there is but That's Nothing compared to other Parts of the country. My buddy had to wait just over 6 months for his in Massachusetts and they have (Iirc) 6 weeks by law.

better judged by twelve than carried by six.

It was "Up to 60 business days" in PA., according to the deputy that handled the paperwork.

If I remember it was around 52 - 53 biz days.

I didn't get mine in Wake, and I didn't get it recently either so I dunno...

What I do know is there is a significant backlog of applications...

Patience grasshopper, it'll come...

You can apply and renew online now. Maybe it will help speed up the process. https://wakeso.permitium.com/ccw/start

I'm in Apex. When I got mine they said 90 days, and it showed in about 60 days. When my neighbor got his a few months ago they said 60 days and his came in about 5 weeks. Wake County is really good, and pushes them out as fast as they are able depending on volume.

Thanks everyone!
Yes, I saw that you can apply online now, but after looking into it, it's just not true. All it allows you to do is fill out the application online and print it. Then you have to take it downtown and go through the usual process. Misleading I know...

I live in nc and it took exactly 100 days to get mine. Felt longer bc I was hoping for it everyday. It could and probably will take longer now. I got mine last July. But there is a long list in nc of applications.
