Default how do they keep a leather holster from squeaking?

Have a speed scabbard and need to keep it quiet.

Gotta break 'em in. Over a week of wearing mine 12-16 hours a day, and it squeaks some still, but not as much

Oil it. It will loosen up. Mink oil is a conditioner and waterproofer.

Break it in and put baby powder on it. An added benifit it makes you smell all fresh and clean.

Using saddle soap on it then mink oil works great.

I like this answer.

I use Saddle Butter. It moisturizes the leather, so helps preserve it, but does not soften it.

Neatsfoot oil, if you can find it. Was designed for leather. Old as the hills.
