Which holster?

IWB Holsters. Anyone have a preference, experience or knowledge with either?

Will either of these pull of your belt when drawing the weapon? Just wondering about these and any others with the metal belt clip - looks suspicious. It will be for a S&W M&P .40 full size.

Bianchi

DeSantis

The clips are usually made to lock in place pretty well. I actually run my belt over the clip to hide it and the clip holds just fine.

Thanks. I just noticed the DeSantis (in one of the other pics) has a bottom hook so when the clip is hooked over the pants the bottom hook hooks on the belt to eliminate slip when drawing.

No experience with those, but I swear by my Crossbreed.

Thanks, Cracker. Looks good too. Looks like it is adjustable for angle and height/depth IWB.

Yep, they are great. Very comfortable. Worth every penny.

DeSantis SofTuck. Best IWB holster I have ever had. It has the "J" hook to go behind your belt and hook under it, and it has adjustable cant so you can get the right angle for comfort and concealment. The cant adjustment also makes it possible to use it as a cross draw in case you spend a lot of time seated. The only way this could be a better holster is if it was free. I own four of them.

Don't have either one but I do have a Desantis Pocket-Tuk and it is a nice little holster. My favorite IWB, by far though, is the N82 (Nate squared) Tactical. I wear this all day, just about everyday, and it is comfortable almost beyond belief.

Just my thoughts.

mikemc,

Well I thought my mind was pretty well made up for the DeSantis until your suggestion! Why did you have to tell me about this? :) I hadn't seen them in all my searches but it sure looks comfortable. Little expensive but I see it is made in the USA. My S&W M&P .40 is a full size but they appear to have fabric for the entire gun against the body.

You're back to the metal over the belt clip that you were suspect of back in the first post. I admit the backing on the N82 looks good, but like you hinted at earlier, I don't like the metal clip. If you wear it over your belt you have to hide it. If you wear it behind your belt it moves.
