While the concept is interesting, I am leery of anyone's marketing of their own product.

Looks like we need to have an FTF Field Test.

Yes.

A Hornady Ballistician ( is that even a real word?? ) talking with a known pimp of a gun writer??

Just sayin'.

I would rather see some independent testing.

If anyone wants to send me some Hornady CD in .45ACP, I will be happy to test them and post the results without bias.

For now, I will stick with what I have. The Winchester Bonded PDX1 in 230 gr. If I run out, I might try something else.

Agreed.

I am interested in the round, but I would like to see it tested in the real world. And when I say "real world" I mean someone from the forum that I know and trust.

hahah well.. you dont know and/or trust me so i wont waste bullets to try to show the (real world) affects of this bullet.

id say go on down to the local sporting goods store and pick up a box for yourself that way you can see the (real world) results first hand.

LOL - Your a Senior Member here. You count. Follow Skull's advice on the rolled & soaked newspaper and let us know how the rounds perform.
