Not really. Just one who knows how to use/interpret the laws to fit my best interest.

Yes. But you understood my points in my previous responses. Illinois is tough but there are legal ways to carry. No it doesn't have to be locked. Yes you can carry in a fanny pack unloaded with a loaded mag by it's side. Again...thanks

Another point that has not been mentioned is that the Supreme Court upheld a ruling that allows you to legally transport your unloaded firearm in the center console of your vehicle...yes that means UNLOCKED. With that loaded mag sitting right next to it u r good to go

People vs Diggins if anyone cares to question that point too. All I have to say to any Illinois resident or someone traveling through Illinois....don't assume...do the research.

Default Taurus .380 cell phone pack

I use the same type of pack that comes with the Taurus .380 for my LCP. Nobody questions it and I can wear it with any clothing. I think it is made by Extreme now too. Looks like a large cell phone case and has quick draw holes on the bottom. Even holds the LCP CT.

This is a great example of the double speak of Illinois law...

In one paragraph it mentions nothing about being inaccessible for legal transport of a firearm. But in another paragraph it says the firearm should be inaccessible for legal transport.

This state is so screwed up.

Welcome to my world. . That's why I always tell people to check with both state and local authorities. Interpretation is all over the board.

I do live in Illinois and I personally know the mayor and police chief in the city I live in. They, along with the county sheriff, interpret the law as legal to carry an unloaded firearm in a zipped fanny pack with a loaded mag close by. This is how their officers and deputies are trained.
