Default Gov. 1911 Remora or other OWB or mexican carry?

Got my full size 1911. Now, on the off day I want to carry it rather than my ultra compact, I have reached holster trouble.

Love love love the Remora holster for EDC. Period end of discussion pick up the ball and go home end.

But, Remora makes a cool OWB and they make for the 5" 1911. But what I wonder is do I need it. I mean, does one carry a gov. 1911 IWB? I don't think so. But carrying a full size 1911 mexican style seems so much better.

Nothing to hook up or adjust just right. Just shove it down the ol' pantaloons.

I am being serious too. Does anybody carry mexican that can relate or have some other input?

NOT mexican! (Unless you never sit down.)

If I need to go heavy, I've carried Fenrir in a cross-greed at 4:00.

Please do not take this incorrectly.

I try to advise that when someone is looking for a SD firearm, that they look at more than just the firearm at time of purchase.

While the firearm is important, the mode of carry for it and other items (mags) is just as important.

The complete package should get priced out. Not just "The cheapest gun for Self Defense".

I carried mexican style ONE time. Was late at night, already had my shower & ready for bed, but decided to go out & have a smoke. Slipped on a pair of jeans, stuck a Thunder .380 in the waist band & hadn't no more than got outside & it slipped. This was before hearing about the football player that had the ND & shot himself. No more mexican carry for me.
