I carry an XD-40 service, just about exactly the same size as your G-17, in a CrossBreed SuperTuck Deluxe, and I have no trouble concealing it.

Get your SuperTuck broken in and play with the carry position (2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, etc.) and cant adjustments, and I'm sure you will find that "sweet spot" that will provide the comfort and concealability you are looking for.

And, if not, CrossBreed has a two week "try if for free" guarantee.

Keep in mind, too, that what you may perceive as less than perfect concealment will go unnoticed by 99.9% of the people out there.

I wear shirts that are a size larger, wear my shirttail out. I do this both winter and summer. No problem with weapon staying concealed. (sometimes wear football jersey)

Good point treehugger. I will certainly have to try out a few things. I went out today and bought a few new shirts that seem to help. Thanks for the help guys. I knew I could count on the fine people of FTF

Me, my wife, and my brother all carry LC9s. We are all big fans of them. Not everyone likes them, but they're not too bad for price and easy to conceal

I carry my xd40 service also with no problems. I am 6'1 and 215 and carry in the appendix position. I don't worry about shooting myself there bc my finger is not on the trigger when I am holstering. It is a viable option. I even carry my 5" 1911 the same way.

Wow, I didn't know ppl carried full size appendix carry so much. I'm gonna have to try it. I'm 6 2' and 180, usually carry a full size Sig 220, but its difficult sometimes. Gonna have to try the appendix carry thing. I only do that with a revolver in the Remora holster occasionaly.

I will not carry any other way. Tried other ways, but I love the comfort of my pistol being right there if I ever need it

I've narrowed it down to three ways I carry,, shoulder rig (cover jacket, gotta be pretty cold, I get hot with jackets on indoors.)
Open carry 3-3:30 in owb holster
(OC very seldomly, mostly while at or going to the range, not my style just to wear around town.)
Appendix carry,,( this is my primary method, 99% of the time,, hell mostly I will "ghetto, convict, mexican " carry. With the right shirt and a good belt no problems, , also like that I can slip it in/out without having to fuss with the holster. I know a lot of "experts" opinions on this method but you know what the say,,opinions are like @$$holes,,, everybodys got one. Not a big fan of Appendix carrying compacts, or subs, seems for me the full size pistols length secure better with just a belt...
But of course all this is just my opinion........

There are very few people who enjoy carrying a Glock 17. Do it for awhile and you will do anything you have to do to get a smaller gun (a 2nd gun...) for carrying more comfortably.

If you get a Glock 26, it would even fit in the same holster and be a LOT more concealable! The extra mag you carry can be the same as your G17 mag. You can use the same ammo. That all means that $500 will fix everything.

But carry that 17 until you cry UNCLE.

I carry a Glock 21SF most of the time. In the summer I wear it on a belt holster covered by an oversized T-shirt. Is concealed very well.
